Special notice
The cottage is not on a flood plain and in no danger of any flooding at all.
Otters are occasionally seen in the river opposite the cottage and kingfisher, barn owls, heron are fairly common. The cottage is also a great centre for visiting bird reserves, see www.rspb.org.uk and www.norfolkwildlifetrust.org.uk .

Wi-Fi connection to a Broadband Modem is available (but not for movies etc).

Fishing
There is fishing on the river and only a rod licence is required, in addition there are many local lakes for coarse fish, Norfolk fishing guide supplied. The cottage is at the end of the River Bure Abbots Hall Fishery so for trout fishing see www.fishandfly.co.uk/norfolk. For sea fishing try Kirkspray from Wells at www.safetyboatservices.co.uk

Entertainment
There are regular Blickling Hall Concerts during the summer ;
Cromer has a famous end of the pier show and a cinema. Sheringam has its Little Theatre. There are many theatres and cinemas in Norwich together with galleries and museums
